Surrounded with patterns of two types of Png Kueh, this vase, with its curvaceous body and the sweet hue of lavender, hints of pink and blue, reminds me of a character called Lavender Lewis in my childhood book, Anne of Avonlea. A good friend of the protagonist, Anne, Miss Lavender Lewis is an imaginative, attractive, old maid with snow-white hair, pink cheeked and sweet lipped, with big soft brown eyes and dimples.
