Bear Fruit
2020
White Stoneware, Underglaze, Glaze
37 x 37 x 38 cm
The shape of this piece is akin to a fruit, hence its name, Bear Fruit–which also means yielding positive results.
Handle-like structure lying on the shoulder and opening of the vessel are created from pastries mould, and they are not made to function as handles but an idea of functionality. The pastries pattern around the body are matte to create a contrast of tactility and a diversity of the sense of touch.
